IOSH-Approved Event Safety Courses

We deliver a suite of IOSH-approved qualifications, all of which are contextualised for live events. Courses include workbooks and an IOSH certificate upon successful completion.

From Working Safely at Events through to Managing Safely, Fire Safety , and Occupational Health and Wellbeing, our programmes provide recognised certification alongside practical, event-specific learning. Courses are available online or in person, with in-person delivery recommended for more interactive, scenario-based sessions.

Event Safety Hazard Workshops

For organisations seeking targeted training, we offer bite-size, three-hour workshops focused on specific event safety risks. These sessions are not IOSH qualifications, but practical, highly applied workshops designed to strengthen competence where it matters most.

Topics include risk assessment, fire safety, crowd management, counter-terrorism awareness, weather planning, incident investigation, evacuation, alcohol and drugs management, and tabletop scenario planning.

Each workshop uses:

  • Event-specific case studies

  • Realistic scenarios and facilitated discussion

  • Practical guidance aligned with licensing, insurers, and Safety Advisory Groups

Workshops can be delivered online or in person, on either a flat-fee or per-delegate basis.

Event Management and Leadership Workshops

Beyond safety, Hopper also supports event teams through management and leadership development workshops. These sessions focus on the tools, behaviours, and structures required to deliver complex events effectively.

Workshops cover:

  • Teamwork and leadership in high-pressure environments

  • Event project management using Gantt charts and RASCI

  • Stakeholder management across venues, authorities, sponsors, and suppliers

  • Event evaluation and performance measurement

  • Clear communication during planning and live delivery

These workshops are ideal for developing confident event managers who can lead teams, manage stakeholders , and deliver against strategic objectives.
